Shakespeare in the Library

Our inaugural education program. In parternship with the East Baton Rouge Parish Libraries, we have created fun, interactive performances for several of Shakespeare’s best known plays, and have written an original script that is kid friendly in order to introduce William Shakespeare and his work to children ages 5-11.

Through this program we want to address a problem that we, as educators, see almost daily: economic hunger. Many children in our different communities suffer from hunger around their school schedules. Through this program, we provide safe food snack bags to everyone who comes to the program. If we have enough, we even provide the adults with snack bags, because economic hunger is not isolated to children.

If you would like information about sponsoring our snack bags please download our informational packet or you can purchase items directly from our Amazon Wishlist.
