The Usborne Complete Shakespeare is a great introduction for kids to some of Shakespeare’s most famous works and is recommended for ages 8+.

For the trinket collector

There are plenty of options out there (especially on Etsy) of things Shakespeare fans will love. The Globe Theatre in London also has an online shop with some great gift options.

The amount of books out there involving Shakespeare and about him can be overwhelming. So here’s a very SMALL list of some options for all kinds of readers.

We are obsessed with this book holster and it needed a place on the top of our readers present section.

While Dame Judi Dench’s book doesn’t come out till April 2024, it had to make our list because we are just so excited for it. Patrick Stewart’s book is out and while it’s not only about Shakespeare, he talks a lot about his work performing it and the London theatre scene and is a must read for any fan of his.

A historical fiction following the Globe’s fight choreographer through his rebellion.

A historical fiction from the viewpoint of Anne Hathaway and the grief of losing their son Hamnet.

A murder mystery that delves heavily into multiple plays and keeping it palpable for all audiences.

The first in an entire series that rewrites all of the Star Wars Saga as Elizabethan characters. R2D2 also has a soliloquy if you needed more convincing.

And last but certainly not least, it’s never bad to round out their collection of Shakespeare plays. Pelican and Folgers are both respected editions but make sure to find out which editions your person enjoys. People have very strong opinions about this.
